This Weeks Share Kalamata Olive Bread Red-Quinoa Millet Sandwich Loaf Banana Nut Bread For many years, I dreamed about having a skill like a carpenter, seamstress or chef that would allow me to make beautiful things and to do it anywhere I wanted. In the last three years I have taught myself one of these beautiful, rewarding and extremely satisfying skills; baking bread. It is such a wonderful feeling. Making things with my hands is one of the most rewarding things in the world to me. The times I worked with clay as a kid, spent time knitting or any art project my creative mom came up with for us to do, were always filled with happiness. All of them involved using my hands to create something. Now that working with my hands, creating beautiful and delicious bread has become my profession, it feels very special to be able to make a loaf of bread that others enjoy and that brings a smile to people’s faces just like it does when I shape it and bake it. I feel very lucky that I have found the trade or skill that I love so much. I set out on this baking adventure thinking about pastries, tarts and cakes, never imagining that I could actually bake bread that tasted as good as what I grew up with. If none of you would have ordered bread three years ago I would not have explored this world of bread that I am so in love with now. Thanks for helping me find my passion!
