Reflections on taking a big leap into the unknown

One year ago this past weekend we packed up all our belongings including the bakery into a U-haul trailer and started driving Northeast from the little town at Mono Lake on the Eastside of the Sierra Nevada to the beautiful green and bursting with spring colors of Bozeman. It was a day full of hope, sadness, excitement, tears, reflection, fear and a lot of unknowns. We were moving to a town 800 miles away that we had only visited once and knew very little about. It was a gut feeling that this was going to be the right move.

Now, reflecting on that decision one year later we are so glad we took that scary plunge into the unknown. What a year it has been!! Many of you reading this today have been part of my bread shares from day one! Others might have just found me. I love baking bread for you every week and I am looking forward to many more years of it! Thank you for being part of my baking adventures and making our first year here so incredible!

This summer I will be making some changes to the bread shares, but I don’t have all
the details yet. I will send out an email in the next couple weeks with more information. There is one more bread day next week before we take a little vacation.

No matter what the bread shares will look like you will be able to find me at the Tuesday and Saturday Markets right next to Living Nutrition with her delicious Kraut, sharing with all of you the fermented foods we love to make. I am looking forward to seeing you all there starting June 7th at Bogert Park!
