Apple Crumble Pie
Happy Thanksgiving!! I wish you all a wonderful holiday weekend, filled with delicious food and good company. This is the time of year when the house is constantly filled with wonderful smells… pumpkin, apples, ginger, cinnamon and baking bread are competing for air space. It doesn’t get any better! Everyone seems to have their favorite… can’t ever miss it… dish at their Thanksgiving table. What is yours? Is it the apple pie? The stuffing? The sweet potato casserole? Or the left overs? What ever it might be, I hope you get to enjoy lots of it this year!!
Here is a recipe for Brandied Ginger Cream which goes well with the Apple Pie!
Brandied Ginger Cream
1 cup heavy cream
2 Tbs packed light brown sugar
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp brandy
Whip the cream until very soft peaks form. Add sugar, ginger and brandy and beat for another 30 seconds. Serve a spoon full of cream with each piece of pie. Enjoy!!
