We will not be at the October 7th market but everyone else will be!! There will be Breakfast Tacos, sauerkraut, amazing veggies, floating bees wax candles, jams, coffee and so much more!
Sorry to miss the market, but sometimes life pulls you away to go celebrate a life well lived and the marriage of two amazing humans all in one weekend. Jan Simis passed away last Sunday, she was one of my first bakery supporters and gave me the Viking range that I used to bake thousands of loaves in. She believed in what I was doing and her quiet undeterred support meant the world to me. My husband used to work on her land, building trails for her to walk on and soak up the beauty of the aspens and the views of Mono Lake. She knew how to be still and appreciate the wisdom nature offers us when we take the time to listen. Jan wrote the most beautiful letters and I so much enjoyed exchanging letters with her. We will miss her dearly but are happy to be able to join everyone in the celebration of her life. A day after we will get to celebrate the wedding of my dear friend at the foot of the majestic granite walls of Yosemite Valley! Life is so beautiful and full of emotion at the moment. I am looking forward to taking Finley to our old home and watching his little face when he touches the salty waters of Mono Lake and the smooth granite of the Sierra Nevada for the very first time all while celebrating life in all its forms.
